Argentine Internationals on the market
The little rabbit wants to wear whites? Real Madrid's new manager Bernd Schuster is clearly interested.
They'll wait till Javier's contract had expired to sign him as free agent.
How will Saviola fit into the Real Madrid system? Will there be radical changes in Real Madrid under the new manager?
I can see him used as fresh leg and gets substituted in during bottom halves.
But that's far from starting.
Being a supersub is hardly the ideal situation for a 25 year old world class striker. Javier Saviola appeared in 20 Barça matches this season, most of which as a substitute in the second half. He played a total of 920 minutes, and scored 6 goals. And he had a month of injury during that period.
After all, Javier Saviola is an Argentine International...

Two other transfers took place these days.
Oscar Ustari had signed a $10m contract with Getafe. Which remained at mid table past season largely by the efforts of Roberto Abbondanzieri. The aging #1 of Argentina won the Ricardo Zamora Trophy (best keeper in Spain) from 2006-07 season serving Getafe. Ustari is speculated to be loaned out of Getafe till Pato retires. The future of Albicelestes' #1 jersey will likely rest between the hands of Ustari and Carrizo. So we hope Osky gets as much start as possible, regardless where he plays.
Gabriel Milito is moving to Barça after this Copa America Campaign.
Gabi, like his brother, isn't an extraordinarily fast player. He does have the composure and quality tackles to pull off superb defense inside the box. But is he reliable enough to strengthen the shaky defense of Barça's offensive formation?
Or is Milito getting this contract because his new found friend Messi had put in enough good words for him? Think I'll remain skeptical on this one too.

I don't see how going to Real is going to change things for Saviola - he's still most likely going to be on the bench a lot, as you say.
I like him a lot, so I hope he goes somewhere that will let him start games. (Besides, it's a Barca to Real move. Not good.)
maybe Ruud is getting old. I meant there's a chance saviola will get first squad in Madrid by some odd combination of events, unlike at Barca he has competition even for forward substitute. and now with TH going to barca, I really don't see how el conejo could stay there.
some european teams are coming out of the box of the traditional forward setup. like manU buying tevez as you've mentioned. unless they planned on benching $60m, I would think ferguson has some unconventional plans drew out. or at least test plans.
so it's not impossible for saviola to find a starting job. Maybe no CL football. but hey, when you aren't getting to start in top flight, CL football shouldn't be of much concern.
o and milito
IMO, milito is getting in barca because messi put in good words.
that's just my opinion...
