Can't we all get along?

Riquelme insisted on rejecting 3rd party offers, and now the relationship between him and Villarreal's managements is worst than ever. Since the transfer window had closed, and because a deal could not complete between Villarreal and Boca, Roman will need to wait till at least winter transfer window to get another shot.

In the mean time, he is training with the team, but Roig & Co. are standing firmly behind Pellegrini and the situation is very unlikely to see turn around. The stubbornness from both parties had managed to hurt each other quite badly, and the fiasco will likely continue.

The optimism and sense of security at villar had disappeared after the 0-5 home loss to Real Madrid. The worst are yet to come. Other teams will learn from Real Madrid's success, amd the campaign will only become tougher for Villar.

For Roman, his NT career is in such serious jeopardy that he might not be seen in Albicelestes ever again...

Hey Rio-I'll use your blog to vent my cursing frustrations-Buncha goddamn stubborn assholes ! Why the hell doesn't Villarreal want 12 million bucks and 20% of Palacio's transfer fee ???!! This is a classic case of cutting off your nose to spite your face ! A bunch of punitive assholes ! I could see where they would want to keep Roman out of La Liga, but how does it harm them to take in 12 million while Roman is playing in fucking Argentina ??!! What's up with management there ??

there's so much ego involved in this shit it's incredible. Both sides can use the money, and neither is willing to make a deal for it.

The thing is, Roman's papers includes a 25% cap (or bench, not really sure) minimum. So if Villar fucks that up, the player is automatically released due to breach of the contract. Regardless how successful Pellegrini had been in villar, if he ended up losing 9 million euro over Roman because personal problems, he'll have to worry about his job too. This whole saga just seemed to be a pile of unnecessary risks for both sides.
